MCPL values its volunteers who devote their time and energy to helping each member library meet its day-to-day needs. At each library, volunteers are needed on an on-going basis to do a variety of jobs such as restocking shelves and office work. Anyone interested in helping MCPL meet its mission to the community through volunteer work should contact their local public library.

HEAD, CHILDREN’S SERVICES

Seeking FT, MLS-accred, PA-cert Professional Librarian to lead 7-person dept. Must have min. 3 yrs pub library
exper as Youth Services Librarian, incl. 1-2 yrs in supervisory capacity. Commitment to highest-quality customer
service essential. Must have excel written & verbal communi skills, thorough understanding youth-centered
best practices, experience w/ library automation systems & understanding technical processing of mat’ls.
Responsible for budget, statistics, personnel matters, grant-writing, & will develop/maintain relationships w/
various community agencies, municipalities, & Norristown Area School District. Must have excel resource & time
management & problem-solving skills. Will develop innovative educ programs for 0-12-yr-olds, maintain existing
programs & participate in Summer Reading Program & District-wide Science-in-the-Summer activities. Will oversee
dept publicity ,including children’s portion of library’s website, & monthly program schedule. Resp for materials
selection & Collection maintenance. Must have valid PA driver’s license & able to work all branches. Salary $46-
$51,000.

Upper Dublin Public Library seeks two permanent, part-time library front desk
assistants. Candidates must be cheerful and enthusiastic; able to work effectively in
a fast-paced environment; and have excellent customer service and computer skills.

Experience with libraries highly desired. High School graduate required.
Salary: $14.03/hr. Approx. 15 hours/week. Weekday & weekend hours required.
 
Additional day and evening hours as needed. Candidates with flexible schedules a
