September @ Montco Libraries

Ida FloodingAs we all know, Ida caused a significant amount of damage in many parts of Montgomery County. Some libraries were affected, but many are open. Please check your local library’s website for the most up-to-date information.

Also, for the county libraries that are part of the MCLINC consortium, their systems will be down for upgrades through at least September 7, so you will need your library card to check out items. Electronic resources like Overdrive/Libby will not be affected during this time.

Our thoughts are with those who sustained damage or lost lives.

Stay cool @ the Library

As summer heats up, libraries are great places to beat the heat. your local library has a ton of ways for you to cool off, from travel guides to help you plan a vacation to cooler climates to hot beach reads. And if you’re just looking for a place to get out of the sun, drop in and browse.

For more information about extreme heat advisories for Montgomery County, please visit the County Department of Health website.

Libraries are already green and always have been. We buy something and thousands of people use it.
