A Visit from Betsy Ross

April 30 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Betsy Ross, during her lifetime, was more often known as Elizabeth Claypoole. She was one of thousands of average colonists whose efforts helped the American cause prevail against the British. Flag maker, seamstress, upholsterer, wife, mother and Quaker, she helped the new nation define itself through flags and colors. Learn all about Betsy, her husbands (plural) and her contributions to American Independence as well as her connections to America’s preeminent Founding Fathers.

Historical reenactor Alisa Dupuy will be returning to HVL with this brand new performance.

Space is limited. Registration is required.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of Huntingdon Valley Library.
