SUMMARY:Postcards to the Past - Write to George Washington
DESCRIPTION:Intended for children ages 6+ \nWe will share what we know about our first President\, General George Washington\, and learn a few new fun facts. \nThen we will spend some time working on how to craft an old-fashioned letter and thinking about what we want to write in our letters to George Washington. \nColonial-style paper and quill-style pens will be provided. \nLetters will be collected and sent to a Historical Character George Washington\, who will write personalized responses to each letter. \n  \nCan’t make the workshop but want to get in on the fun? \nLetters will be accepted July 1 – July 15 \nLetters can be dropped off at Schwenksville Borough Hall\, scanned and emailed to askPVL@mclinc.org or mailed to: \nLetters to President Washington\nc/o Perkiomen Valley Library\n290 2nd Street\nSchwenksville \,PA 19473 \nResponses will be shared via email or available for pick up at Schwenksville Borough Hall. \nOriginal letters will be returned with responses. \nRegistration required \nQuestions?
