DESCRIPTION:This lecture will discuss the role that Philadelphia and its citizens had during the years prior to and during the First World War. We will reflect on the daily activity in the city and the numerous contributions of Philadelphians to the war effort. Mr. Jesberger will also discuss many of the various monuments and memorials dedicated to those that served\, fought\, sacrificed and died in the First World War. \nPresenter: Michael Jesberger is an independent military historian who specializes in the American Revolution and Civil War time periods.
